Creativity from Home
Sep 03, 2020
To set up your own art studio for exploring your creativity from the comfort of your own home, and/or for joining us online, you'll need some painting supplies and a place to paint.
Practical painting supplies:
- Ready mixed coloured paints (Gouache or Acrylic). Ideally a set including red, yellow, blue, purple, green, orange, black and white
- Strong A2 sized cartridge paper - as strong as possible
- Ideally, 5 different sized brushes
- A palette to squeeze the paint onto
- Jars of water to rinse out the brushes
But if you don't have paint yet, don't let it hold you back. Coloured pastels or pencils can get you started and also work well.
A place to paint:
- A wall or door covered in cardboard or newspaper or an easel with a board
- Masking tape or clips to hold your paper in place
And again, if you don't have these yet, a board or a table are fine.
You may also like to try some in-person or online facilitation.
For that, please see workshops at https://amandamoore.co.nz
And for online facilitation you will need to:
- Down load the free Zoom app - https://zoom.us/freesignup/
- Set up the camera on your device so that I can see you and your painting as you paint (This is easier to do if you put your paper on a wall, door or easel)
- Register for a free online group workshop - link
If you'd like help getting started, you may like to consider joining us for some group facilitation.
Our workshops provide the necessary conditions for creative exploration online.
Each workshop is facilitated by Amanda Moore an experienced coach and painter.
